School Counselors: Helping Build Better Humans

TIFFIN UNIVERSITY, Tiffin, OH—In recognition of National School Counseling Week, Feb. 3-7, Tiffin University has invited high school counselors to campus on Wednesday, Feb. 5, to learn about its new academic programs, the ins, and outs of college admissions, College Credit Plus, the financial aid process and how to help students navigate through college athletics to name a few.

National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), was created to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.

“High School Counselors are an integral part of the college search process.,” said Dr. Amy Wood, TU’s VP for Enrollment Management. “More than 100,000 school counselors nationwide will be participating in the week’s festivities and Tiffin University is excited to host this special day to call attention to the countless benefits of a comprehensive school counseling program.”
