Leadership Seneca County – February Update

Leadership Seneca County – February Update
February 26, 2020

For their February 12th session, the Leadership Seneca County class of 2020 spent the day touring manufacturing facilities throughout Seneca County. The day started off with an introduction to SCAT, as the group used SCAT vehicles to travel all day. Coordinator Kim Radison and board member Rodney Biggert facilitated discussion with the class on the international connectedness of Seneca County to the rest of the world. Each manufacturing facility visited discussed their international connections.

The group first visited the POET facility in Fostoria and learned about the process of making ethanol. The next stop was the NOX US factory, also in Fostoria, where unique floor coverings are made. The group then headed back over to Tiffin where they had lunch and project discussion at local favorite, Jolly’s restaurant. They then toured National Machinery and heard about the unique kinds of tools and machines made at the company that are shipped all over the world. The day ended at Tiffin Metal Products where the class was amazed by unique products as well as exciting new growth the company is seeing currently.
