Meet Christina Strait, Derek Sidor, and Rachael Fenton with Your  Legacy Federal Credit Union. Your Legacy Federal Credit Union has been a member-driven financial cooperative since its origin in 1952. Many may recall their name change from St. Joseph Federal Credit Union to Your Legacy Federal Credit Union in 2014 that allowed them to accept customers from the entire community of Seneca County. Your Legacy Federal Credit Union has recently rolled out their new tagline, “Your Community, Your Legacy.” The organization supports the Tiffin Rotary Club, The Salvation Army Citadel, FISH, the Humane Society of Seneca County  and now runs the Memorial Day Parade in partnership with other veteran groups.

The credit union has taken advantage of many major upgrades throughout the last few years to provide a better experience for their customers. They recently changed to a new check vendor that allows a user-friendly experience for customers to customize their own checks at more affordable rates. They have also switched vendors for their VISA credit cards that allows for a broader rewards program with the new Platinum card. For every dollar spent, the customer earns 1.5 points that can be used for cash back, merchandise, gift cards, travel, and more. They still offer a Classic credit card with low rates.

They have streamlined their Online Banking process and have also rolled out online video demos for some of their most popular electronic products, including Online Banking, Mobile Check Deposit, e-Statements, and Bill Pay. You can also access your account through their Mobile App. The credit union has also rolled out a Fresh Start Checking, a second chance program that allows customers to have checking account access with a debit card. Customers can be upgraded to a basic account after one year with the account in good standing.

COVID has changed the way that many do business and the credit union is no different. They offer a drive-thru service and their lobby is open with health and safety provisions in place. They ask that you please make an appointment for any non-standard transactions.
