Join us as we celebrate 35 years in business for Todd Sarka and Sarka Conveyors & Automation.  Along with Todd’s dedicated staff and employees, he has taken Sarka from a small, local shop and has expanded his business nationwide.

The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:15 pm to celebrate this milestone.

Todd Sarka is a second-generation owner. He grew up in the sheet metal business working alongside his father, Kenny Sarka and his uncle, Larry Sarka (Yogi) at a local sheet metal shop. Larry eventually set out on his own and started Sarka Sheet Metal & Fabrication, Inc. on December 4th, 1985. Shortly after, Todd joined Larry in the business and years later, when Larry retired, Todd purchased the business

 In 2001, Rick Sutter was brought on board. With his many years of conveyor and material handling experience, Sarka Conveyor & Automation Systems was born. SCAS has custom designed and built material handling, automation and metal fabrication parts & equipment. They develop custom, automated solutions for a wide variety of needs ranging from: PLC’s, Robotics, Material Handling/Conveyor systems, as well as updating older equipment, assembly and sorting for a wide variety of unique/special equipment & apparatus’.

In 2009, Todd purchased the CARHOE line and created the CARHOE DDG. This unit is used for the grain industry. It has a long cylindrical probe with a rotating head to penetrate grain products that stick or pack in covered hopper cars. They have CARHOE’S installed throughout the United States and Mexico.

Along with Todd’s dedicated employees, he has taken Sarka from a small, local shop and has expanded his business nationwide.

 We are proud of how far this Tiffin Start-up has come, and thank them for their generosity throughout our community.  Here's to another 35 years!
