Heavenly Pizza to Celebrate 40th Anniversary and Employee/Customer Appreciation Day
August 02, 2021

Heavenly Pizza, located at 2 Main Street in Downtown Tiffin, will host a Employee/Customer Appreciation Day to celebrate 40 years in business on August 23rd. The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 am to kick-off the day. Following the ribbon cutting, the store will heat up their ovens to begin a day to celebrate the many employees that have weathered the COVID-19 pandemic and helped Heavenly Pizza, a community staple over the years.

Owner John Hill will donate the entire days of sales (11:00 am to 10:00 pm), including tips, back to all the employees of Heavenly Pizza. Heavenly Pizza will be raffling off items purchased from local businesses for those who place orders that day. Those who attend the ribbon cutting will also have the opportunity to walk away with a slice (or two) of pizza.

About Heavenly Pizza

At the age of 21, John and his business partner – a childhood friend who also worked in pizza shops and, like John, a born-again Christian – came from Michigan and set out to open a store in Galion. After being turned down in Galion, the pair took a wrong turn on their way to Perrysburg and found the perfect location in Tiffin. After marrying, John and his wife moved to Oklahoma, where they lived for nine years and started two Heavenly Pizza locations. Missing the small-town life, John and his family moved back to Tiffin. Today, Heavenly Pizza is a strong family business, with John’s four children, their spouses, and his six grandchildren lending a hand.
