Feature Friday: Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division

Happy Feature Friday, where every Friday the Chamber team will highlight one of our fantastic members by repping them for the day and telling the community more about them.  This week's Feature Friday is: City of Tiffin, Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division! 

About Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division: 

Since 1894, the Tiffin Fire Department has provided full-time protection to the City of Tiffin. In 1997, EMS was merged creating the Fire/Rescue Division. They staff 2 crews for the the department and many are more than firefighters. The majority are also paramedics and certified fire safety inspectors. Many are trained to the level of Haz-Mat Technicians. Several have training on technical rescues.  The Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division provides their services based out of two fire stations. Station 1, located in the heart of downtown, houses two engines, a ladder truck, two ambulances, rescue boats, administrative offices, and support vehicles. Station 2 can be found in the north end of the city. It is located between two major industrial areas and houses an engine, reserve ladder truck, an ambulance, and our technical rescue trailer.

Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division is proud to give back to the community through a variety of outreach and education programs.  These include, but are not limited to, building inspections, station tours and truck visits, fire extinguisher training, CPR and first-aid training, the senior fire and fall prevention program, K-5 school programs, being safe in your home programs, child carseat safety checks, and the juvenile firesetter program. 

During the month of October, Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division is excited to once again sell their Breast Cancer Awareness T-Shirts!  The proceeds of these shirts will go to FACT of Seneca County.  FACT is dedicated to helping residents of Seneca County, Ohio, who have been diagnosed with cancer with their cancer related expenses.  They have sizes YS to XL and are $10/each, 2XL to 3XL are $15/each. They can accept credit/debit cards or cash!
