Ribbon Cutting: Seneca County Opportunity Center - Trishaw Cycle

Ribbon Cutting: Seneca County Opportunity Center - Trishaw Cycle
October 06, 2021

The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.  Please gather at 4:15 pm.

The Seneca County Opportunity Center will celebrate the arrival of its modified trishaw cycle with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on October 19 at Opportunity Park.  The trishaw allows everyone, no matter their disability or level of mobility, the opportunity to ride a cycle. Participants sit on a bench seat in front of a trained pilot who pedals the cycle.  A battery is available to assist with inclines and longer rides.

The Opportunity Center will use the specially modified cycle during program hours to serve adults and children with disabilities. On evenings and weekends, they will partner with Cycling Without Age Seneca County volunteers who will use the cycle to serve the elderly or those with mobility concerns in the community.  The Seneca County Opportunity Center received a grant from the Tiffin Community Foundation to purchase this inclusive cycle.

This event is free and open to the public. Opportunity Park is located behind the Opportunity Center at 780 E. Co. Rd. 20 in Tiffin.  If there is inclement weather, the ribbon cutting will be in the gym.
