Holiday Tree Lighting Experience

Holiday Tree Lighting Experience
November 22, 2021

The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce and Destination Seneca County in partnership with Andrew Kalnow have announced a holiday lighting experience to take place in Downtown Tiffin on Friday, December 3 beginning at 5:15 PM.

The evening will start at the Seneca County Justice Center with holiday music from Beth Mattia, a reading of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas”, an appearance from Santa, and the lighting of Tiffin’s Christmas Tree and the Seneca County Justice Center.

This year there will be a new addition to the tree lighting ceremony as The CommuniTree Project is launched. The CommuniTree Project, a Chamber initiative in partnership with the Tiffin Community Foundation, looks to bring the community together for the holiday season. More than 250 ornaments will be hung on the tree that were decorated by fifth grade students from Tiffin City Schools and Calvert Catholic Schools along with Chamber businesses. Those who have an ornament hanging on the tree will be recognized at the tree lighting ceremony.

Once the tree lighting ceremony concludes, attendees will make their way to Tiffin’s newest holiday lighting experience as the East Tower and National Corner will be lit for the first time. Following the lighting of the East Tower and National Corner, the community will stroll to Frost Parkway for the lighting of Frost Village.

Along their evening walk-through Downtown Tiffin, community members will be led in caroling by members of the Old Trinity Episcopal Church in between stops. Chamber member, Tim Horton’s, will also be providing free hot chocolate for attendees.
