Outer Space Engineering Challenge

The Teen Department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is excited to announce that its summer reading program, “A Universe of Stories” will begin on Monday, June 3 and will conclude on Wednesday, July 31. The summer reading program includes eight weeks of reading, prizes, and special events.

Teens who have completed sixth through eleventh grades may register at the Information Desk. They will receive a reading log to keep track of the number of minutes they read and keep track of their summer adventures. For every 20 minutes of reading, teens earn an entry for a prize.  Additional prize entries may be earned by attending library programs, and completing other various activities.  Prizes include a Kindle Fire HD, a telescope, headphones and more.

Teens are also invited to special library events throughout the summer.  Join the fun with “Afternoon Teen Time,” which will be held Thursdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  “Afternoon Teen Time” will include:


·         Outer Space Engineering Challenge, Thursday, July 11: Think you have what it takes to be an astronaut? Teens can compete in multiple design challenges that test your creativity and logical thinking to win a prize! Virtual reality headsets will be used to learn more about outer space.
