The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library will present “QPR: Question, Persuade and Refer” on Tuesday, October 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Adult Reading Room as part of the 2019 Foundation Speakers series.
The QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention program is a simple way for anyone to learn how to recognize signs of suicide, how to engage someone experiencing thoughts of suicide, and where to refer them.
Presented by staff from NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot counties. Free and open to all adults. No registration necessary.
Kevin Hines, author of Cracked, Not Broken: Surviving and Thriving After A Suicide Attempt, is this year’s Foundation Speaker. He will visit Tiffin on Thursday, October 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Tiffin University’s Marion Center.
The Foundation Speakers series brings an outstanding writer, artist, or public figure to inform and engage the community once each year and provides the chance to gain insight and inspiration directly from those helping to shape our culture and our world. The series is made possible through generous funding by the Tiffin-Seneca Library Foundation and the many donors who have contributed to the Foundation over the years.
