TU to Host Lonnie Jones, II: Empowering Undergraduate Students to do Their Best

Tiffin University’s Science Club will host Lonnie Jones II, Lead Instructor for the Greater Cincinnati Occupational Health Center, on Friday, Nov. 1 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in St. Mary’s Room 1. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.


Jones presentation, Empowering Undergraduate Students to do Their Best will share his life journey to his current occupation at the Greater Cincinnati Occupational Health Center and the skills he uses to empower undergraduate students.


About Lonnie Jones

Jones exemplifies the spirit of Servant Leadership, with a firm belief and commitment to protecting Workers and their Communities. He served in the United States Marine Corps for almost ten years as a Harrier Jet mechanic and Drill Instructor. After being Honorably Discharged from the Marines, he joined the Cincinnati Fire Department (CFD) and has remained there for twenty-five years.  He is a Heavy Rescue Technician, Paramedic, and a certified Instructor.


Lonnie graduated from Walnut Hills High School and attended Ohio University for Pre-Med. He teaches for the Cincinnati Fire Department, the International Chemical Workers Union Center and is certified to teach in 38 states. He is currently completing his studies.
