Jim Coffman, of Tiffin, a local bird expert and longtime volunteer with the Seneca County Park District, plans to offer a hands-on workshop on preparing bluebird boxes and purple martin houses for winter.

Coffman, also the Seneca County representative to the Ohio Bluebird Society, monitors bluebird trails in the county parks and has created a purple martin colony at Garlo preserve. Workshop participants can help winterize a variety of bird boxes in the county parks.

Refreshments will be provided. Dress for the weather because there is minimal heat in the primary work area.
