Miss Cindy's Cookies

Cookies by Cindy first began in 2005 by Cindy Kirchner and in 2015 she closed the business. Now, her eldest son Micah Kirchner is reigniting the business — now named Miss Cindy’s Cookies.  Living in Columbus, Micah decided to move back home to help his mother after her breast cancer diagnosis.

Now back in Tiffin, after working in several kitchens, Micah said he decided to again bring his family’s cookies back to the area. “To this day, people are still asking and raving about these cookies,” he said.

Micah even said they made cookies special for an area resident’s wedding.  They also do graduation parties, private events, and fundraisers. Micah said all the recipes are to be the same ones his mother used that were handed down from his grandmother and great grandmother, with some new ones. Cookies being sold on a regular basis are chocolate chip, M&M, snickerdoodle and ginger snaps. Micah is also pushing the envelope by turning out specialty cookies every Thursday that will change every week, so the public can only get them the week they’re in stores.  Specialty cookies he’ll be baking are: Monster, oatmeal scotches, root beer float, orange creamsicle, cookies n’ cream, red velvet, s’more, peanut butter blast, oatmeal raisin and white chocolate macadamia nut. Cookies are sold by the dozen, six packs and two packs at each location. You can also special order them at the locations.

What makes these cookies so special, Micah said, is the flour they use which makes a softer, melt-in-your-mouth cookie.  Miss Cindy’s Cookies is expanding rapidly and are now being sold at the following locations: Molyets Farm Market, Shell gas station on RT 100, Simply Susan’s located downtown, Bascom Carryout, and JT’S Bagel Bar which is also stocking the Bagel Buggy with the cookies as well.  Miss Cindy’s Cookies can also be found at all the Farmer’s Markets this year.  Micah and his family believe in supporting local businesses and all ingredients are bought locally.

Micah said he is even taken suggestions about future cookie recipes.
