Senecare is a wellness company focusing on promoting wellness and optimizing health by developing personalized strategies guided by the individual’s genetic and epigenetic profile.  We focus on the foundational principles of good health: sleep, stress, nutrition, supplementation.  We also offer coaching on athletic performance, detox and environmental health, and hormones.  We offer pharmacogenomic medication therapy management services to optimize drug therapy for those individuals that require drug therapy to manage their health. 

Sleep is an essential need for the body and most people do not get enough sleep or good quality sleep, by analyzing your genetic report we can identify solutions and in consult with the client develop strategies to optimize sleep matched to a person’s genetic make-up.

Stress is ubiquitous in life and how we deal with stress matters.  Stress can have a great impact on our long-term health leading to many chronic diseases that people develop later in life.  Our program can help our clients realize the benefits of short-term stress and avoid the consequences of long-term stress.

Good nutrition is the cornerstone of good health and wellness.  The nutritional needs of everyone are unique to that person and is determined by their genetic make-up.  We help people design an eating plan that is specific to them.   Our goal is to develop a nutrition plan that will help them optimize their health, but we can also help them develop a weight loss plan to get them to their goal weight.  Diet plans must be tailored to the individual, they must be designed according to your body’s ability to handle carbs, fats and proteins as well as specific supplements that you require.

Athletic performance is determined by effort, but our genes play a critical role in how our body responds to training and effort.  We can help design a training program specific to your genetic make-up.  Our plan can improve your workouts, recovery and performance.

We all handle environmental toxins differently and a healthy functioning detox system is crucial for optimal health.  We can help you maintain a healthy detox system to help your body avoid disease.

Drug therapy is an essential part of healthcare our bodies respond differently to these medications based on our DNA.  Our bodies are designed with enzymes and transport systems that will activate or deactivate medications, will cause medications to be absorbed or eliminated.  The expression of our genes determines how these medications work in our body.

Effective drug therapy requires monitoring and regular assessment including biometric measurements and labs.  Our team can make sure that all required monitoring is performed at the proper intervals and for those that required a little more attention we provide medication compliance services.

We carry a comprehensive selection of high-quality vitamins and supplements to assist you in your wellness program.  It is important to check with your physician or pharmacist before starting a vitamin or supplement to ensure it will not interfere with your medication therapy and fortunately, we have a pharmacist on staff available for vitamin and supplement consults.
