Seneca Conservation District Announces the New "Down On The Farm" Preschool Story Time

Seneca Conservation District Announces the New "Down On The Farm" Preschool Story Time
January 29, 2021

If you know a preschooler that has an interest in farms, farm animals, tractors, or plants we have a story time just for them.  Seneca Conservation is hosting “Down on the Farm Preschool Story Time” the first Wednesday of each month at 10 am.  Ann Cramer, with Seneca Conservation,   will be reading a farm-oriented book each month and leading activities at Proving Ground Farm –West,  5670 E Twp. Rd. 138, Tiffin.  Our farm is located about 7 miles north of Tiffin and is part of the new Proving Ground Farm, a demonstration and educational farm, open for anyone to visit from dawn till dusk.

Our first book will be “Farm Flu” by Teresa Bateman.  We hope you join us to find out how silly farm animals handle getting the flu and who steps in to take care of them.  Along with reading the book around a campfire we will have activities and even songs.

All activities will be held outside at the picnic shelter where we can socially distance. Be sure to wear your warm hats, gloves, boots, and coats and don’t forget your masks, please!   We look forward to meeting area preschoolers while exploring the farm and agriculture.   These story times are free and open to the public, no RSVP is necessary.  If you have any questions about the event or farm, please call us at 419-447-7073 or visit our website conservesenecacounty.com.
