Holiday Tree Lighting Experience a Success

Holiday Tree Lighting Experience a Success
December 06, 2021

The Holiday Tree Lighting Experience held on Friday, December 3, was the largest tree lighting ceremony the City of Tiffin has had in recent years according to Mayor Aaron D. Montz. Attendees enjoyed live music from Beth Mattia and Nate McMaster while the Downtown Tiffin Tree and Seneca County Justice Center were lit. Attendees then made their way to the lighting of National Corner, East Tower and Frost Village. Tim Horton's served free hot chocolate for attendees and Old Trinity Episcopal Church members led in community caroling throughout the night.

This year there was a new addition to the tree lighting ceremony as The CommuniTree Project was launched. The CommuniTree Project, a Chamber initiative in partnership with the Tiffin Community Foundation, looked to bring the community together for the holiday season. More than 250 ornaments were hung on the tree that were decorated by fifth grade students from Tiffin City Schools and Calvert Catholic Schools along with Chamber businesses.
