Feature Friday: Tiffin Parks and Recreation

Feature Friday: Tiffin Parks and Recreation
July 01, 2022

Happy Feature Friday, where every Friday the Chamber team will highlight one of our fantastic members by repping them for the day and telling the community more about them. This week's Feature Friday is: Tiffin Parks and Recreation!

The Parks and Recreation Department is a non-profit, municipal government agency serving the City of Tiffin. The department is responsible for park maintenance and development as well as recreational and special event programs and facilities. They are a dedicated team of professionals committed to providing beneficial, life-enhancing opportunities for the community.

Tiffin Parks and Recreation encompasses 18 parks with roughly 200 acres of parkland. These parks provide a wide range of activities for everyone to enjoy, and whether it is a birthday party, graduation party, or family reunion, their shelters and barn, at Hedges-Boyer Park, are perfect for any form of gathering or event. Their facilities include recreational trails, picnic shelters, sports fields, playgrounds, an outdoor swimming pool, a bandstand pavilion, the Tiffin Bark Park, and so much more. The city pool is located at Hedges-Boyer Park and is open yearly from Memorial Day to mid-August. The pool is available for rental on Saturdays and Sundays. Tiffin Parks and Recreation works side-by-side with Tiffin Youth Sports Association, to provide a safe atmosphere for our youth to get involved in sports.  They also provide youth programs, throughout the summer, that expose children to many different experiences.

Tiffin Parks and Rec is excited to plan and put on the annual 4th of July celebration that happens at Hedges Boyer Park. This year's event is expected to be bigger and better than ever before! City of Tiffin Parks Director Bryce Kuhn is excited for the event and encourages everyone to come out and celebrate. “We’re hoping for a great day, and suggest you get to the park early to take in all the fun that we have planned. Bring your friends and family and celebrate the 4th of July and Tiffin’s 200th birthday!”
